Key Ingredients
Dandelion
Taraxacum officinale
This garden-variety weed possesses a bounty of herbal virtues. The roots contain inulin, considered a prebiotic compound to support a healthy gut flora. Taken before a meal, the bitterness of the roots primes the body for digestion by reminding stomach, liver and gallbladder that its time to start revving up those digestive juices. Dandelion may also support the liver in it's normal healthy function of detoxifying the blood.*
Blue Vervain
Verbena hastata
Need a little help loosening your grip on the steering wheel of your life? This extremely bitter plant shines as a support for the overachieving-type person who lies in bed at night, losing sleep while they run through their to-do list for the next day. Like all our bitter remedies, blue vervain is an ally for the liver, and for helping the body get into a rest and digest state.*
Ginger
Zingiber officinale
Delicious, spicy ginger draws warmth into the core. Stimulating to the circulation, ginger stokes the body's digestive fire -- known as agni in the Ayurvedic tradition. Ginger is a favorite support for occasional nausea, and for those who never feel warm enough no matter how many layers they have on.*
