Key Ingredients
Ginkgo
Ginkgo biloba
It's interesting to think that this plant we commonly associate with aging, memory and cognitive support is also one of the oldest trees on the planet.* The species has maintained a remarkable genetic continuity since the dinosaurs roamed during the Triassic period. What miracles, tragedies, and wonders has ginkgo witnessed through the eons? What memories and wisdom does ancient ginkgo hold in its branches for the collective?
Gotu Kola
Centella asiatica
A much loved Ayurvedic remedy. Considered a gentle support to the brain as a memory aid, gotu kola works well alongside other cognitive plant supports like ginkgo, calamus, and rosemary, and is well suited to daily formulas for longer term use. A soothing, cooling plant that may be balancing for patterns of excess heat.*
Tulsi
Ocimum sanctum
Also known by the name holy basil, this delicious, sweet-smelling plant comes to us from the Ayurvedic tradition where it is revered as the most sacred of plants. Hindu adherents worship tulsi as the earthly manifestation of Tulasi -- one of the avatars of Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity, wealth and happiness. Tulsi is considered an adaptogenic herb. It may help the body to adapt to stress and anxiety, uplift the spirit, and support cognition.*
