Key Ingredients
Mimosa
Albizia julibrissin
Prized among herbal enthusiasts as an energetic support for grief and anxiety, mimosa is known in China as the "happiness tree" for its ability to uplift a spirit weighed down by melancholy. Mimosa is one of those teachers that helps us connect with the liminal to stretch beyond our stiff self-perceptions into something more magical and wondrous.*
Motherwort
Leonurus cardiaca
This rest-and-digest ally may be a helpful companion for folks experiencing feelings of worry, anxiety, hypervigilance, and unsafety rooted in past trauma. Motherwort supports a gentle, strong, courageous heart and reminds us that softness in a hard world is medicine. The strong bitter flavor supports relaxation, normal liver function and healthy digestion.*
Mullein
Verbascum thapsus
Fuzzy mullein leaves are often used as an aid to the respiratory system.* The tall flowering stalks can be dried, dipped in tallow, and made into torches like in ancient times where they were utilized in funerary processions. Soft yet strong-backed, mullein calls to those experiencing loss and grief that we may face the depths of our emotions buried deep in the lungs with courage and resolve.
